the adventurer was given a new look for 1957, when a pricier convertible was offered. The coupe and the convertible both sported plush interiors and were festooned with gold trim. But it wasnt only the look that prompted desoto to call the adventurer pure gold ... In ride, pride and pleasure, for what was under the hood a 345-cu.in., 345hp v8 was just as impressive. And by 1959. Cubes and power had climbed to 383 and 350, respectively.
