| Mazda 757 - 1986-1987
Mazda began participating in the prestigious le mans 24-hour endurance race in 1973, fielding cars with the wankel rotary engine, which was also used in some of its production cars. | Mclaren M9a - 1969
During 1969 three different fourwheel-drive cars took part in grand prix competition: The matra ms84, lotus 63 and- mclaren m.9a. All experienced mechanical problems, and none came close to winning a gp race. Entered only in the british gp, the mclaren retired early when a rear-suspension upright snapped.Details click here | 
| Mercedes 2 Litres Targa Florio - 1922
After the world war i, german manufacturers were banned from participating in motor sports in most allied countries, with one exception italy. There, german and austrian firms could race on equal terms against their european rivals. Perhaps the most famous of all italian races was the targa florio, whose course snaked through the treacherous madonis mountains of sicily.Details click here | 
| Mercedes 300 Sl Gullwing - 1954-1956
If a boxer could glide around a ballroom as well as he danced around the ring, hed be a mercedes 300sl gullwing. With a massive 190hp, 3-liter, fuel-injected, in-line 6 perched in front of a finicky, feather touch suspension, the gullwing was powerful but precise. Not satisfied to be an exclusive roadster, it won the 24 hours of le mans in 1952.Details click here |
