Packard Clipper - 1946-1947
Shortly before the japanese attack on pearl harbor brought the united states into world war ii, packard adopted low-slung clipper styling for almost all its bodies. When production resumed after the war, all packards retained the clipper look in the first two model years. These cars were indistinguishable from the prewar clippers except for their thicker grille bars.

Built in the fashionable pillarless hardtop style that left the side windows unobstructed, the mayfair was a cut-rate sporty luxury coupe that incorporated features of both higher- and lower-end packards. During the three years of its existence, production totaled almost 11,000.
