Sleek two-door hardtop
the charger bore the chassis and mnning gear of the dodge coronet and included all features offered by the 500, coronets top trim level. Rear bucket seats folded forward to provide added luggage space, and a full-length console with floor shift divided the interior. Headlights were hidden in the full-length grille, while a single taillight stretched across the back of the car.
draggers, beware
the most powerful of the chargers four available v8s, the optional hemi required bigger brakes and stiffer suspension. Of the 37,344 1966 chargers produced, only 468 came equipped with hemis; Of the 15,788 1967 models, only 118 carried hemis. Significantly, dodge offered only one-year warranties for the hemi-equipped
chargers, compared to five years for the others. Drag racers received no warranty at all.
