The Custom models were the top of the line offerings for Ford in 1951. These cars featured chrome window moldings, a chrome horn ring, two sun visors, armrests on all doors, and horizontal chrome strips on the body exterior. A 95-hp 239-cid 6-cylinder engine or 100-hp 239-cid V-8 engine powered the Custom, both equippped with a standard 3-speed transmission that was available with an automatic overdrive.
