Small but roomy
the simca 1000 was the last rear-engine, rear-drive french car, its small 944cc, four-cylinder engine situated behind the rear axle. Although the sharp-edged body, inspired by the chevrolet corvair, was built on a wheelbase of only 87 in., its box)- shape afforded a roomy interior that could seat four adult passengers comfortably.
