Master salesman errett lobban cord had dropped the marque bearing his name in 1932 after sales of his beautiful but radical l-29 front-wheel-drive straight-eight had collapsed during the depression. But just three years later a new cord car was unveiled. Like its predecessor, the new cord had front-wheel drive, but the resemblance stopped there.
