| Ford Custom Convertable - 1951 The Custom models were the top of the line offerings for Ford in 1951. These cars featured chrome window moldings, a chrome horn ring, two sun visors, armrests on all doors, and horizontal chrome strips on the body exterior. A 95-hp 239-cid 6-cylinder engine or 100-hp 239-cid V-8 engine powered the Custom, both equippped with a standard 3-speed transmission that was available with an automatic overdrive. Different models and produced a wide array of engine sizes to accommodate every one of them, from the suburban cruiser to the highway hot-rod. The basic model housed a 200-cu.-in.
