About vehicle
No frills the completely restyled, coke-bottle-shaped 1968 coronet was one of the most attractive designs ever for this dodge series. The super bee, however, had none of the coronets frills. But what it did have was heavy-duty suspension, a sway bar, and a floor-shift four-speed manual transmission to support the four-barrel 335hp standard v8 engine. This powerful engine had received its camshaft, cylinder heads and induction system from the 440 magnum v8. The souped-up 425hp street hemi engine cost an additional $831. six barrels in 1969, a hardtop was offered in addition to the coupe, and midway through that model year dodge added an improved 440 magnum v8 as an option. This engine now bore a six pack of three holley two-barrel carburetors, boosting maximum output to 390 hp. During a three-year production run, 63,352 super bees rolled out of the dodge factory.
The six pack logo on this 1969 super bees hood scoop reveals the cars engine to he the six-barrel 440 magnum v8.
