About vehicle
A certain vogue this type of body passed out of fashion in europe after 1930 but continued to have a certain vogue in the United States before world war ii. Ford kept a phaeton in its catalogue through 1938. The 1934 phaeton was one of the most attractive during this period and is one of the most highly prized by collectors. That years fords had attractively flared front fenders painted in body colors instead of the earlier black. the price was right all 1934 fords were based on the model 40 frame that had been adopted for the 1933 models. Although the chassis had been lengthened to a 112-in. Wheelbase, the phaeton looked almost sporting. Yet even the deluxe-trim v8 phaeton cost only $550. Ford also offered its four-cylinder engine in all models for $50 less than the price of a corresponding v8. It was the last year for that engine
The 1934 ford phaeton had an allure that was almost sporting despite a price that was no higher than $550.
